Tuesday was a blue moon so we went made our way to Ruby Island a small uninhabited place in the centre of Lake Wanaka.
We sat huddled on a matt, wrapped in blankets.
We took snacks and sipped wine without the lights of the town or city our eyes adjusted to the dark. We looked at the moon and watched the clouds rolling in over the mountains.
We spotted stars and talked of adventures past.
I think someone even howled at the moon. x
